Climate change

What’s causing global warming? No, it’s not the sun (or Milankovitch cycli), it’s not volcanoes, it’s not aerosols, it’s not changes in land use, it’s not ozone pollution or some other natural factors. Yes, it’s greenhouse gases, as the result of human activity.

Copernicus: July 2023, the warmest month in Earth’s recent history.

IPCC: Human activities, principally through emissions of greenhouse gases, have unequivocally caused global warming. Carbon dioxide is responsible for most of global warming.

NASA: There is unequivocal evidence that Earth is warming at an unprecedented rate. Human activity is the principal cause.

WMO: The summer of extremes continues. July was the hottest month ever recorded. This is the new normal and does not come as a surprise.

Carbon brief: The best estimate of the human contribution to modern warming is around 100%.

Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary General: The era of global warming has ended and “the era of global boiling has arrived”.

The Nature Conservancy: Yes, over 97% of scientist agree that humans cause climate change.

APN: The drastic effects of climate change and climate variability pose a significant threat to humanity.

Let’s listen to all those climate scientists (meteorologists, oceanographers, glaciologists, …) and take action. Let’s fight greenhouse gases.
